July 7 OMQG Meeting Minutes
Ede covered a couple of important issues:

oReminder that no food or beverages allowed at the Sewing Studio
·Maitland Library sew days are resuming August 9
oBring a mask in case it’s needed
Daisy Aschehoug of Warm Folk presented a great overview of her quilting evolution and design process
Marge gave an update on Jacquie Gering class
·Will be held at Maitland Community Center
·Sign-ups available until August 15; after that will be open to the public
·20 people per class per day
·$80 per class – send check to Kathy Aber or via Paypal
·Two classes:
oSept 24, 10am to 4pm - Improv and walking foot class
oSept 25, noon to 6pm - sashiko-inspired class
Marge gave an update on the Retreat
·Sign-ups proceeding nicely – make sure to get signed up soon if you want to attend
·Will set up a zoom meeting in August for those who volunteered to help
Ede talked about August meeting “scrap-a-palooza”
·Bring gallon-sized baggie of scraps – can be themed or not!
Ede solicited for help with open positions
·Aradria has had to resign as social media and library chair
·Can be two separate positions – please let Ede know if you can volunteer
